Silk is the fabric people picture when they picture luxury drapery, and for good reason. It catches light with a soft natural sheen, falls with a fluid weight, and reads instantly as elevated. We keep silk and silk blends on hand, the kind that, as one customer put it, look so rich they elevate the whole room with light and elegance.
Silk drapery fabric is woven from natural silk fibers, prized for its luster, fluid drape, and depth of color. For longevity at windows it is typically lined to protect it from sun and to add body.

Unlined silk can be sensitive to direct sun, which is exactly why we line silk drapery. A good lining protects the fiber and extends its life considerably.
Lined silk is well suited to living and dining rooms. For high-traffic or very sunny exposures we will talk you through linen or a durable blend instead.
